Pharmacist

Dependable Staffing is currently recruiting for an experienced oncology Pharmacist for an ongoing opportunity in Northern Arizona.

Qualified candidates must have Residency or specialized training in oncology or 1 year of experience working in oncology department and chemotherapy and Aseptic technique experience.

Position schedule will be Monday- Friday 8am-5pm and provides furnished lodging, mileage reimbursement and great weekly pay! 

Pharmacist Duties include:

• Prepare medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders; detecting therapeutic incompatibilities.
• Monitor drug therapy to evaluate appropriateness of use, dose, dosage form, regimen, route, therapeutic duplication, and drug interactions.
• Dispense medications by compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceuticals.
• Consult with clinicians and communicate ongoing patient information and efficacy and safety of treatment regimen(s) to all care providers.
• Control medications by monitoring drug therapies; advising interventions.
• Provide a level of guidance and direction to pharmacy staff.
• Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' work flow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.
• Provide pharmacological information by answering questions and requests of health care professionals;
• Provide patient centered drug therapies and consultations.
• Comply with state and federal drug laws as regulated by the state board of pharmacy, the drug enforcement administration, and the food and drug administration; maintaining records for controlled substances; removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
• Oversee day to day operations in the pharmacy.

Additional Job Requirement:

• Current TB Skin Test or CXR
• Immunizations and/or Titers including TDAP, Varicella, MMR
• Active and in Good Standing Arizona Pharmacist Licensure
• CPR
• 1 Year of Experience or Training in Oncology
