Pharmacy Technician

Certified Pharmacy Tech needed for Inpatient Pharmacy Placement. Immediate Opportunities Available!

We are seeking experience Pharmacy Technicians for Inpatient long term placement employment opportunities. Current schedules are available Sunday- Saturday, 7am-530pm & 10am-830pm.

Job Requirements:

• Current Arizona CPhT
• National Pharmacy Technician License
• Current TB screen
• MMR & Varicella Immunizations
• 1 Year of recent Pharmacy Technician Experience with 3-6 months including inpatient/hospital/ IV experience

Job Duties:

• Practice within all State Board of Pharmacy, DEA, and FDA rules and regulations
• Preparation of prescription orders including sterile and non-sterile preparation (hazardous and non-hazardous), TPN & IV admixtures
• Unit dose preparation of oral solids, ensures pre-packaging records are complete
• Knowledge and functionality of automated dispensing machines
• Preparation of automatic dispense machines including cart fills/ stocking and restocking
• Generate reports from automatic dispense machines
• Retrieve narcotics and follow all requirements for complete controlled substance distribution
• Purchasing / Inventory Control
• Maintaining drug inventory levels
• Monitor drug expiration dates in automatic dispense machines and remove according to policy and procedure guidelines under the direction of pharmacist
• Maintain temperature logs
