Teacher Assistant Special Education

Dependable Staffing is currently recruiting Instructional Assistants for placements in long term, ongoing elementary school settings.

Current open positions are for Instructional Assistants to work Monday- Friday, 35 hours per week. Placements are for classroom (group IA) and 1:1 positions and will start upon qualified candidate completing the employment application process.

 
Qualified candidates must have 1 year of recent experience, current CPR & First Aid, current fingerprint clearance card and complete the online Teacher Assistant application for consideration. Current ongoing, long term employment opportunities will start immediately after application process is completed.

 
Instructional Assistant Job Duties:

• Follow instruction, behavioral & IEP plans
• Patiently work with students in group and 1:1 settings
• Assist students with understanding and completing assignments and projects
• Assist teacher implement lesson plan
• Make copies of and distribute classroom material
• Supervise students in classroom and during break/lunch periods
• Supervise children with the use of scissors and other objects as needed
• Assist with picking up classroom area
• Implement CPI training as/if needed
