School LPN (Classroom)

School Nurse needed for long term opportunity in medically fragile classroom in Phoenix.

We are recruiting experienced LPN’s for a school nurse employment opportunity in an elementary school setting. Nurse will work in classroom setting Monday- Friday, 7:30a-3pm. Must enjoy working around children.  Classroom will contain four students, one nurse and two classroom aides.  Aides will be responsible for changing; Nurse will be responsible for tube-feeding.

Performance Responsibilities:

• Identify, assess, evaluate the physical & mental well-being of students
• Be aware of/ assist with management of chronic conditions including administering routinely scheduled medications
• Maintain student health and emergency contact records
• Provide necessary assessments of students as outlined in procedures including immunization records
• Maintain logs of student, complaint and outcome of daily visits and care provided
• Provide emergency and routine care for students as needed
• Work with school administrators and professional staff to implement health and safety measures as requested
• Ability to communicate clearly with parents, students and faculty/ school staff
• Assist with tube-feeding for medically fragile student

Job requirements:

• Minimum of 1 year recent experience working as an LPN
• Current CPR/ First Aid
• Current fingerprint clearance card
