Dependable Staffing is recruiting qualified Instructional Assistants/Teachers Aides for the remainder of the school year with experience in a special needs classroom or other setting working with youth. Instructional assistants/Teacher Assistants provide assistance to teachers and students in a classroom, small group or 1 to 1 setting.

Dependable Staffing provides coverage during traditional school-day hours with qualified, dedicated and compassionate Instructional Assistants/Teacher Aides to assist teachers in providing students with learning or a safe and rewarding educational environment.  

Dependable Staffing teacher’s aides assist the teacher with educational support for students with learning challenges. The opportunities to interact in a 1 to 1 setting, classroom and groups with students are available. Qualified candidates play an important role while working with the teacher to ensure that each student is able to maintain optimal educational outcomes.

Duties Include:

• Encouraging positive behaviors as directed by classroom teacher.
• Assist in providing a supportive educational environment for students.
• Insuring a safe and positive classroom environment for all students.
• Assist students with care as needed.
• Record progress records for student Individual Education Plans.
• Properly supervise students at all times as directed by classroom educator.   
• Help students develop and improve social interactions between students.
• Assist teacher and students with various daily classroom activities.
• Help students improve academically and behaviorally as instructed by the teacher.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Classroom experience preferred.
• High School degree or equivalent.
• Para Pro passing score (provided free for qualified applicants).
• CPI Training (provided free for qualified applicants).
• One year of experience working with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
• Valid clean Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Current CPR and First Aid.
• Dependability, punctuality and positive attitude a must.
