Teacher Assistant

Instructional Assistants support the teacher and students under the supervision of the teacher by following and implementing lessons and providing instruction, classroom management and supervision.

Teacher Assistants also assist students with understanding and completing projects and homework, assess and attend to student’s needs, supervise in classroom, playground, between classes, during lunch breaks and while on field trips, follow behavior and IEP plans. Will be required to provide behavior support including corrective measures as needed.

Qualified TA’s must have at least 1 year of recent experience working with children, must be able to work in team environments and be able to multitask; must have compassion and patience.

Long term employment opportunities are available now for the 2022/ 2023 SY. Schedules are available to work Monday- Friday, school hours in elementary school settings in Phoenix.

Job requirements:

• Current CPR, 1st Aid
• Current fingerprint clearance card
• Complete CPI class before 1st day in classroom
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience working with children in EDU or behavioral health setting
