Classroom Assistant

Dependable Staffing currently has employment opportunities in classroom settings for classroom assistants. Current openings are in SPED classrooms throughout Phoenix and offer consistent, long term employment for qualified candidates. Schedule will be Monday- Friday traditional school hours between 7am-3:30pm depending on school placement assigned.

Additional Job Duties:

• Assists with preparing needed materials and supplies
• Assists in maintaining a clean and organized learning environment
• Assist students with understanding classroom assignments and homework
• Plans, develops and maintains safe, engaging learning environments
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be able to follow teacher instruction  

Classroom Assistant will assist teacher with classroom preparation and daily growth and development of students. May be assigned to bus duty loading and unloading students before and after school. Will supervise students in classroom, during meal breaks, during recess, in hallways and when transitioning between classes.

Qualified Candidates must have 1 year of applicable experience working with children in educational or behavioral health setting, must be able to multi-task, take direction, work independently as well as with educational staff, must be compassionate and be patient.

Additional Requirements:

• Current CPR
• Current 1st Aid
• Current Fingerprint Clearance card
• Additional Training provided by Dependable Staffing
